This information literacy instruction sessions was prepared for a first-year undergraduate course in the Department of History at Acadia University. In this 20-minute presentation, I provide a brief introduction to the research services offered by the Vaughan Memorial Library such as how to create keywords, how to find the library LibGuide research guide, and how to scan books and articles found in the catalogue and databases. 

In this session, I incorporate multiple examples of active learning and  curriculum-integrated instruction, using Mentimeter to engage students. This demonstrates my teaching philosophy with a focus on building practical learning skills and confidence with my students, even in a short presentation timeframe.
